A Different Kind of Primary Care

Care for people who want deeper answers

Functional Now is a community of people who care deeply about healing — ourselves, our families, and others. We exist to create space for learning, encouragement, and practical support through a functional, integrative lens, for those who want thoughtful care and a provider who looks at the whole picture.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do you treat infants and children?

We welcome patients of all ages, starting from newborns.

Do you take insurance?

We are a self-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. We are happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. You can also use your insurance for lab work by providing your insurance card directly to the lab at the time of your appointment.

Do you accept HSA/FSA cards?

Yes, we take HSA/FSA cards.

What is the benefit of membership?

The primary benefit of membership is improved access to care — personalized, comprehensive primary care that blends both traditional and functional approaches and is designed to support the whole person, not just symptoms.

Are there any annual membership fees?

Outside of the one-time $200 initiation fee, there are no additional membership fees. Memberships are billed month to month, with a 10% discount for memberships paid in full for the year.

What is the membership cancellation policy?

Members may cancel at any time by notifying our office.

How much is testing?

All testing is self-pay and shipped directly to your home. Common tests include the MycoMetabolic Panel ($477), GI-MAP ($327.18), DUTCH Complete ($300), and MTHFR Buccal Swab ($65).

Do you offer telehealth or phone appointments?

Yes. To establish care, your first appointment must be completed in person. Once you’ve established care, many follow-up visits can be conducted by phone or through a secure telehealth appointment.

What is your vaccine policy?

We believe in informed consent and support parents making the decisions they feel are best for their families. If you choose not to vaccinate, that’s completely okay with us. If you do vaccinate, we’re supportive of that as well. However, we do not stock vaccines in our office.

Do you only see patients in Ohio?

At this time, due to current state licensing laws, we are only able to see patients who are physically located in Ohio at the time of their visit.
